A nineteenth-century country residence of the Poggini family, it once rose amid cultivated land and a formal parterre documented in the 1835 Gregorian Cadastre.
In the 1930s the estate became the prestigious home of Alba and Bruno Buitoni, where world-famous artists and musicians were hosted as guests. Alba was especially devoted to creating a residence and a park that would express, within a vast international context, her refined sensibility as a woman.
Between 1942 and 1951 the renowned landscape architect Pietro Porcinai designed a garden meant to bring out the quietly harmonious dialogue between architectural forms and the beauty of the surrounding nature.
Today, every avenue, terrace and fountain preserves the memory of that vision: a place shaped and made harmonious, constantly renewed and enhanced by the patina of time.

The fifty centuries-old olive trees on the park’s natural terraces precede the wooded area, resting on a slope where countless flowering paths become its natural continuation.
